OGC Nice has just lost one of its players. Charles Vanhoutte, the Belgian midfielder, is leaving the club after just one season to join Feyenoord. Arriving at OGC Nice last year from Union Saint-Gilloise for around 6 M€, Vanhoutte failed to establish himself in the team. He played 38 games in all competitions, scoring 1 goal and providing 3 assists. And although he was left out of the starting lineup at the end of the season, the Belgian was one of the few Aiglons to show consistency and regularity during a season to forget. So Vanhoutte is now joining Feyenoord, where he will play in the Champions League. The 27-year-old player is ready to take on a new challenge. But what motivated his departure from OGC Nice? It seems that Vanhoutte struggled to adapt to the team's style of play. In fact, he was often used as a substitute and couldn't express his full potential. OGC Nice wishes Charles Vanhoutte good luck on his new adventure at Feyenoord. The club is now looking for a new midfielder to strengthen its squad.
